Kahramanmaraş Plain

 Located to the south of the city of Kahramanmaraş there is an alluvial plain of tectonic origin, starting from the African Lakes region. It is a continuation of the Jordanian Graben system extending along the lake and Amik plain. The elevation of the Kahramanmaraş plain is 450- 500 meters and lies between the Ahır and Çimen Mountains. It extends 40 km long and its north-south width is approximately 20 km. The most commonly grown crops are tomatoes, cucumbers, red peppers, corn, cotton, eggplant and lettuce.
